True Life: I Cried at Axwell Λ Ingrosso at Terminal 5 NYC 3/17
Seeing Axwell Λ Ingrosso, I didn’t expect to get as emotional. It was amazing unwinding to their set. In my opinion, it was one of my favorite shows I’ve attended. Both Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso put on a show at Terminal 5.
Axwell Λ Ingrosso at Terminal 5 3/17
Being my first time seeing Axwell Λ Ingrosso, the balance of old to new-made the show. There was a dramatic beginning that set the tone. Who could forget about lasers? Perfectly, they kicked off the night with How Do You Feel Right Now feat Sanjin.
Amazingly, they blended their newer work along with synth dominant sounds. Throughout, they played an abundance of music I’ve never heard of before. As a new fan, I was taking it all in, intoxicated by the synths.
Unexpectedly, they played a song that stuck out to me. They’ve only played it once at Terminal 5. Titled Dawn, the song was more minute song. Comparative to their heavy hitters, the synths sent chills down my spine. It was a perfect transition to The Scientist Acapella by Coldplay. When they both played Sun is Shining, that’s when I lost my mind.
Axwell Λ Ingrosso gave their all. Aside from a rowdy crowd, their set was electrifying. It was a perfect taste of what’s to come for Ultra Miami. They integrated their newer music to their classics.
Former Swedish House Mafia members played a few song in tribute to their roots. From collaborating with Pharelle, One Republic’s Ryan Tedder and Alesso, the duo did an amazing job keeping the crowd alive.
Lastly, I would recommend seeing Axwell Λ Ingrosso live. If I had a choice to see someone else that night, I would still have chosen Axwell Λ Ingrosso.
