The Chainsmokers Kick Off Tour In Miami Tonight
It’s been a big week for The Chainsmokers. The popular DJ duo are set to kick off their “Memories…Do Not Open” tour tonight at the American Airlines Arena in Miami, FL. This tour, which encompasses cities in both the U.S. and Canada, has about 40 stops and will be the biggest headlining tour the duo has completed in their career thus far.
The Chainsmokers, consisting of Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall, first received attention years ago with their 2014 hit “#Selfie”. However, it wasn’t until a couple years later when more of their singles, such as “Roses”, “Don’t Let Me Down”, and “Closer” started to blow up on the charts, causing the duo to blow up as well. Now, they have sold out shows all over the world, headlined festivals such as Ultra and EDC, and begun a residency at one of the hottest nightclubs in the country, XS in Las Vegas.
In addition to all of this, they just released their first full-length album days prior to beginning tour. This album is the name of the tour itself: “Memories…Do Not Open”. It features their song with Coldplay “Something Just Like This”, radio hit “Paris”, and recent release “The One”, as well as many other new tracks. The album is currently ranked #1 in the iTunes store.
The Chainsmokers will be joined on tour by a wide variety of artists: from Kiiara to K?d to a fan who posted an impressive piano cover of one of their songs. Tickets are still available and can be purchased here:
