Destructo Announces Friendship Coming December 2018
Dance music legend and powerhouse promoter Gary Richards or better known by his stage name Destructo recently unveiled his first project as president of LiveStyle North America. Friendship presented by AMFAMFAMF is a four-night cruise that will set sail from Miami on December 11, 2018.
Destructo, who founded the brand Hard Events, was the name behind some of the hottest dance festivals including Holy Ship! and Hard Summer until this past summer when he stepped down from his company after steering the ship for ten years this past summer. The festival welcomed some of the biggest influences in dance music including Anna Lunoe, Tiesto and Diplo while also bringing together those underground artists like U.K. bass DJ and producer Madam X or artists from genres outside of the EDM world including Ice Cube and Snoop Dogg.
I should be doing more than one show and one cruise…[LiveStyle] have thousands of shows around the globe. I wanted to be involved with more fests and projects, and it seems like a natural progression. –Destructo, Los Angeles Times
The new music cruise has the attention of many considering the Midas touch Destructo has on anything he touches. His long history behind putting together dance music events from warehouse parties to the first Electric Daisy Carnival, now widely recognized under the Pasquale Rotella name, has made any event he touches widely sought out. We can expect Friendship to sell out quickly knowing the loyal and huge fanbase Destructo has built over the years. In a recent interview with Willy Joy on Back to Back, both DJs and producers talk about success and their secret to achieving it: creativity and authenticity. We can be sure that Friendship will be yet another music experience built to create memories that money can’t buy.
There is a place where my friends and I go and we do fun things-the kind of fun things that build everlasting memories that I could never put a price on and I absolutely never could because these times are priceless and irreplaceable. At the end when I look back and reminisce about these times I had and the experiences that molded me and watered me enough to grow, I’ll think about all the friends I’ve made along the way and how I am a part of their story and they are more than all my friends. They are all my family. -D, Facebook
