EDC Orlando Weekend Through My Eyes
It’s been almost a week since EDC Orlando, and man was it amazing. If you needed a little pick me up or a weekend getaway of some sort, AND you attended EDC Orlando, you definitely got what you were looking for. Needless to say, there were good vibes, laughs, and complete and utter happiness all around whether you were in your emotions at Kaskade or head banging it out at Excision. Here are some of the highlights of the last fun-filled EDC of the year. Here’s EDC Orlando Weekend Through My Eyes.
EDC Orlando: Diplo B2B A-Trak
Talk about throwing it down. These two are some of the prime examples of real DJing, and they made sure we wouldn’t forget it. If you were lucky enough to be there, you got to witness Diplo B2B A-Trak tearing up on his turntables live as a “solo” if you will, and man was it insane. The crowd went wild and even Diplo himself gave the famous DJ his praise. It’s not every day you see DJ’s putting on a show like that and getting to witness it live and just five rows back from the barricade is definitely a signature moment to remember.
Kaskade’s Magical Sunset Set
Okay, let’s be real, whether you’re into trap, dubstep or trance you like Kaskade. I mean really, how can you not? And what better way to showcase why we all love Kaskade than his magical sunset set that truthfully had a lot of us in our deepest emotions at one point or another. (Admit it, you shed a tear or two when Disarm You came on) It was the perfect way to take the Orlando crowd from daylight groove to night time fun. Not to mention a great way to set the tone for the rest of the night. Well done Insomniac.
I love Zedd. He’s my personal favorite, so needless to say I was ecstatic that he was closing out day two and I could hardly keep still. And have you seen his light shows?! If you haven’t you’re missing out, but if you have you know exactly what I’m talking about. Lasers on lasers on lasers! I without a doubt lost my voice at the end of the night from singing (more like shouting) along to all the songs that I knew word for word. I’m biased (because I love him) but I think it was the best set of the weekend.
EDC Orlando was beyond amazing to me. I had never been to Orlando up until last weekend and to have my first experience there be a music festival that I love was a gift. It was a well needed weekend that I loved and will cherish forever. Thank you Insomniac, thank you EDC, and thank you Orlando for reminding me once again why I do this and why I enjoy it so much.
