What Festival Should You Attend This Summer?

With summer festival season now well underway, it continues to be a tough decision for the raver to choose which festivals to attend. We’ve all heard of some of the more mainstream festivals – Ultra, Coachella, Bonnaroo, Electric Daisy Carnival and Lollapalooza to name a few. But let’s say you’re one of the lucky ones that have already attended all of these and are looking for something new. Or let’s say money is just too tight this year to swing any of these. Well, you’re in luck – we’ve put together a festival guide for some of the lesser-known festivals that just might be your key to an awesome summer.

For The Nature Lover – If you’re even a little bit outdoorsy, Oregon Eclipse is the festival for you. Taking place from August 17-23, this ground-breaking festival keeps the party going for a whole week! The highlight of the event, of course, is that attendees get to witness a Total Solar Eclipse in the beautiful Oregonian setting. Another unique aspect of the festival is that the location has never before been used as an event site! Therefore the festival will be implementing a “Leave No Trace” policy, encouraging attendees to cherish and respect our planet. Oregon Eclipse also includes camping, art, and workshops, so there are nonstop activities. And perhaps most notable of all, the festival will have 7 stages with lots of performances from artists such as The String Cheese Incident, Shpongle, Troyboi and so much more.

For The Budgeter – Dancefestopia, taking place September 7-10 in Kansas City, Missouri, is an affordable way for an EDM lover to see lots of their favorite artists! Tickets for this 4-day event typically start at $129 when they first go on sale, and the festival offers camping passes so that attendees can avoid pricey hotels and transportation fees. In addition to this, the festival is right there in the middle of the United States, making it accessible to people from all parts of the country. Dancefestopia offers many different types of giveaways and contests for music-lovers to win tickets, and payment plans for those who don’t want to pay for the entire ticket at once. But don’t think that the reasonable pricing means this festival is any less fun! It’s an extremely popular and growing event, and this year will feature big names like Dillon Francis, Bassnectar and Tiësto!

For The Basshead – As many of us know, Excision has been eluding to starting his own festival for quite some time now. Well, that time has finally arrived: Lost Lands Music Festival has been announced to take place September 29- October 1. The event will take place at Legend Valley in Thornville, Ohio. The Lost Lands lineup is extremely dubstep heavy, featuring artists such as Excision, Datsik, Kill The Noise, Snails and many more. Camping options are available, making this an all-night experience that any basshead won’t want to miss!

Though we only described a few festivals here, there are hundreds more to pick from. However, these events are quickly approaching and are sure to sell out! So what are you waiting for? Grab your ticket today and go experience the festival of your dreams!
