Fractal Beach 2018 Returning to Virginia Key Beach Park
Massive Ideas has announced the lineup for Fractal Beach 2018, a 3-day festival set to take place in Miami, FL at Virginia Key Beach Park Feb. 2 – Feb. 4. This is the second year the team is organizing the event, and this year it will headline artists such as Papadosio, Desert Dwellers and Toubab Krewe.
Beyond the lineup, Fractal Beach will also include beachfront camping, state-of-the-art sound, stage, and lighting design, ongoing yoga and movement workshops, interactive art installations and live painting from a roster of preeminent visionary artists.
There will also be an interdisciplinary schedule of educational workshops and discussion panels from leading subject matter experts across a variety of culturally-engaging and thought-provocative fields.
The historic Virginia Beach Park is on Virginia Key, the first technical stop on the journey through of the Florida Keys. It is full of sandy beaches and mangroves filled with flora and fauna of every variety.
The inspiration for the inaugural Fractal Beach festival was described by the Founder and Creative Director, Anders Sherberger, in an interview with the Miami New Times:
“Fractal Beach is modeled after other “transformational festivals” like Lightning in a Bottle, Symbiosis, Shambhala, and Envision. The idea is to mix yoga, music, workshops, and tons of amazing art to create something that’s more than an event; it’s a container for change. We’re excited to bring South Florida its first transformational festival.” – Sherberger
This year, the event will go above and beyond its initial debut, with four stages, new live art and installations, and mini cabins available to rent, among other amenities.
Tier 3 tickets are still available and the other tier tickets will be releasing soon. To purchase your tickets, visit the event’s ticket page. A camping pass will need to be purchased in addition to the GA ticket if you are planning to camp. There are also RV tickets and spots available.
