Hype Playlist(s) For The First Ever Lost Lake Festival
With the first ever Lost lake Festival in Phoenix less than three months away, it’s creeping up on us fast. And as it creeps my excitement grows. The festival is bringing the type of big, cultured festival you expect in a big, hip city to Arizona. But else can you expect when Superfly, the people behind Outside Lands and Bonnaroo, produces an event?
Some of my (and probably your) favorite artists – both in and out of the EDM scene – will be there. Headlining we have The Killers, Change the Rapper, Major Lazer, and Odesza. Those four names themselves are worth the $224.50 ticket. Then we have other heavy hitters like The Roots, Pixies, Ludacris, Crystal Castles, Lil Yachty, Snakehips, Big Gigantic, Frenship, HAIM and even a DJ set from Lil Jon – to name a few.
To go with the awesome lineup, the festival is going to feature some of the coolest food, drink, and culture of the Valley of the Sun. Throughout the festival grounds will be various “Experiences,” as Superfly is calling them. Below is a description of these attractions:
There’ll be “Phoenix Flavors,” which will feature some of best of the Phoenix food and drink scene. There will also be “The Pits,” which is being described as “a barbeque experience only the Valley could gill up.” One attraction is a “Brewpark,” which will host a ton of craft brew beers and outdoor bar games. You know you’ll find me playing cornhole over there. There’s an “experience” they’re calling “The Lost Playground.” This includes sports and games spread throughout the festival grounds, each with a unique twist added to it. There will be “Art of the Valley” which is going to feature local artists. Finally, there is “Found: The Lost Lake Marketplace” which will feature wares and crafts from regional artisans.
With all my growing excitement for Lost Lake Festival, I HAD to make a Hype Playlist. There is at lease one song from every artist on the lineup. The playlist is available for your listening pleasure on Spotify, embedded at the bottom of this post. Of course, with my love of music, I had to cut some songs to keep it under 4 and ½ hours. I did still publish the “long” version, which may be a bit skewed to my musical taste, which is just over 8 and ½ hours long and is available here. Check out the playlists and get as excited as I am for Lost Lake Festival. The festival will occur October 20-22nd at Steele Indian School Park in Phoenix, AZ.
