[Listen] After the Snow Comes the “Bloom” Meet Covex
The state of Colorado has been known to produce some amazing talent. Not just any kind of talent but the kind of talent with real staying power. I’m talking acts like The Lumineers, Phillip Bailey from Earth Wind & Fire, The Frey, John Denver, Chris Broderick from Megadeth, and One Republic just to name a few. Maybe it’s the crisp air, the four seasons, or the picturesque landscape that brings out the best in these people. Whatever the case may be the music world is benefiting ten-fold, which brings me to the next branch in Colorado’s musical tree…Brendan Bell aka. Covex. After the snow comes the “Bloom.
After the Snow Comes the “Bloom” Meet Covex
Brendan is based in Boulder, Colorado, but reaches so much further with his unique sound. He has been on the scene for a while cultivation his craft while experimenting with different sounds of nature and producing a signature voice. His career started with nothing but a laptop and a dream, which soon expanded to turn tables and production. That passion led him to create songs like “Ordinary Lies”, “Memories”, “For You”, and the remix of “Can’t Feel My Face”. That remix shined a huge bright light on him as an artist. He got the attention of listeners everywhere and not just in the EDM world. Flash forward to the winter of 2017 and ladies and gentleman you have the release of his debut EP “Bloom”.
This is a culmination of years of hard work that features some previously released singles from earlier this year and reels you in with his trance-like melodies, drum placement, and drop out that leave space for the vocals to shine. This is a masterpiece of thought and imagination. Track like “Momentum” and the new title track “Bloom” (featuring Anna Scholfield) will capture every drop of your attention. You need to check it out if you haven’t already. Listen to his music or better yet see him in person. You can catch him as he has graced stages at festivals like Sonic Bloom, Decadence Colorado, and Global Dance Festival.
