Bebe Rexha Teases Her New Project “Expectations”

For years, Albanian singer/songwriter, Bebe Rexha has been a quiet contributor to the industry. Having penned tracks like Tinashe’s “All Hands on Deck” and Eminem and Rihanna’s “The Monster,” Rexha has been a significant force behind the scenes. Along with mainstream/Top 40 radio singles, Rexha’s career can largely be attributed to electronic dance music.

One of Rexha’s first hits was Cash Cash’s 2014 song “Take Me Home”, which reached No. 2 on Billboard’s US Dance/Mixshow Airplay chart. “Take Me Home” was also the first charting song for both Rexha and Cash Cash as credited performing artists. Although uncredited in earlier pressings of David Guetta’s Listen album, Rexha contributed to the chorus of the Guetta’s collaboration with Afrojack and Nicki Minaj called “Hey Mama”.

In 2016, she provided vocals for Martin Garrix’s “In the Name of Love,” which achieved the feat of a double platinum RIAA certification in the United States.

After a long road to mainstream success, Rexha released her EP, All Your Fault Part 1 in February. The first installment of the All Your Fault series contained a rhythmic sound, with notable singles “I Got You”, and “F.F.F.” The second installment of the AYF contained a gritty, trap sound, with the Gucci Mane and 2 Chainz-assisted “That’s It” and the rebellious anti-love song “(Not) the One”.

Between the rollouts of her projects, Rexha has also provided vocals for “Back to You”, a collaboration with Louis Tomlinson and Digital Farm Animals.

Shortly after the release of All Your Fault Part 2, Rexha teased Part 3 on her Instagram story. However, she revealed on Twitter last week that she axed Part 3 and that her next project will be called Expectations. She didn’t reveal much about Expectations, however, she noted that the project will have an entirely new sound and will be released in early 2018.

Given Rexha’s success this past year, “expectations” are high for this new project.
