New Year’s Eve Recap: USA – Where Was The Party?

New Year’s Eve Recap: USA – Where Was The Party?

NYE in EDM

New Year’s Eve has become a finale for each year of EDM. This year, there were dozens of festivals in the USA featuring hundreds of artists from around the globe. Where did you spend your last night in 2016? We’re breaking down the top EDM NYE celebrations in the USA… in no particular order. Abbreviations abound.

Lights All Night; Dallas, TX

Enlisting a crew of headliners to fill the warm air with bass, Lights All Night went hard this year. Above & Beyond, Deadmau5, Zedd, and Nero are just a small sample of what was served up in Dallas on New Year’s Eve. Check out the rest of the line-up below.

New Years Eve Recap: USA

Decadence; Denver, CO

It may have been cold outside but it was blistering inside at Decadence in Denver this year. Bassnectar graced his home state with an incredible performance alongside The Chainsmokers, Disclosure, Eric Prydz, Flume, and many others. Side note: this venue is massive. It’s like walking through a small EDM city. Sounds ok, I guess.

Snowglobe; Lake Tahoe, CA

Snowglobe has been a big name in EDM for a years now. This year was no exception. I’ll start by asking the question I’m sure many of you are asking: Do artists like Flume and The Chainsmokers perform at more than one venue in the same night? Or do they simply go back to a private jet after a show the first night, and start to rest up for the show in a different state the following night? Anywho, Flume and The Chainsmokers were also here, settling in 😉 with ODESZA, Major Lazer, RL Grime, and several others.

Reaction NYE; Chicago, IL

Guess what? Flume was back again in Chicago at Reaction NYE. That man knows how to end the year with a bang. Zedd’s Dead, Gucci Mane, Tchami, Dillon Francis, Danny Brown, and Mr. Carmack provided an array of genres and moods to fill out the rest of the night.

Countdown NYE; San Bernardino, CA

Countdown NYE in San Bernardino had one of the largest line-ups this year. A couple of names are A-Trak, Alesso, Baauer, The Chainsmokers, (again) Deorro, Diplo, Kill The Noise, RL Grime, (sounds familiar) San Holo, Steve Aoki, and Zedd. To name a few. Safe to say, there was plenty of bang for your buck on New Years in San Bernardino.
