[Listen] Slander – Superhuman (Gammer Remix) feat. Eric Leva
One of the masters of the modern EDM remix, Gammer, has a new remix out of Slander’s “Superhuman” featuring Eric Leva. The hardcore styling of Gammer is a staple in any DJ club mix, as the hard elements definitely go ham. The Gammer Remix of Superhuman by Slander featuring Eric Leva is absolutely super hardcore and comes to us via a Monstercat Release. If you want something fast and speedy in all the right ways, “Superhuman” is right up your alley.
The start of “Superhuman” has a cool piano riff with lyrics that pander towards the “feelings” kind of lyricism. The range of the vocals, however, is incredibly broad and very well executed. The lyricism itself does have a sense of whimsy around it, as well as rising vocals, which have a very positive, strong invigorating effect on the listener. There’s also a fair amount of clicks and very siren-heavy effects.
The moment before the build begins is both tense and oddly misleading. The silence that comes before the build feels like it could be before the drop, but its not. The build itself is absolutely bonkers, very definitive of Gammer’s style, super hardcore in all the best possible ways. The chorus breaks that tense build so well, and then the seconds before the drop hold for just a moment to really keep the suspense.
He drop is pure insanity. There’s a somewhat drum n bass feel, but by and large, the more noticeable element is the speed, which picks up exponentially. The second psyche-out drop is super quick too, and then the actual second drop is hella crunchy. The sirens go crazy and then, just as quickly as it began, the song ends out rather simply with a very clean cut off. Gammer’s EDM remix of Slander’s “Superhuman” is truly something to behold.
