Webster Hall Sets Final Show For August 5th
You heard it, ravers. The famous Webster Hall will be closing down for renovation due to new management. It is true, the same people who own AEG and Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment bought the venue and will begin new management. That company also owns Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn.
Is this goodbye for Webster?
The last show will be on August 5th where Webster Hall will close its doors. Many are scared that since under new management, the guest list will not be honored anymore. With not a lot of 19+ clubs in New York, a lot of people find the nightclub as their home, a place where they can escape. With Girls+Boys nights on Friday to Basement Saturdays, will be missed immensely. We aren’t completely sure what will happen when Webster re-opens their doors or what to expect.
It is one of the oldest venues in New York City. Located on 11th street in the East Village, the nightclub has been around since 1913. Many famous artists have played at Webster Hall. As the end of the date approaches for Webster’s remodel/makeover, a large amount of big act are being released to play Webster Hall in the final days.
