Zeds Dead Releases New Music Video for “Blame”
Zeds Dead has been blowing up on the electro house scene for a while now, releasing EPs and countless remixes of major artists. Now they’re on the verge of dropping their debut album, “Northern Lights”. Their first single for the album, “Blame” featuring Diplo and Elliphant, has already surpassed 4.5 million plays on Spotify and the second single “Frontlines”, released just a week ago on September 16th, already has over three hundred thousand. If this is any indicator, the album is going to be a great one.
Their animated music video for “Blame” is reminiscent of some of the darker 80s cartoons. The style resembles cartoons like He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, ThunderCats, and G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, and tells a story set in a post-apocalyptic world. This style is cohesive with the album art on their EP “Somewhere Else”. It is also similar to the album art for their two singles, “Blame” and “Frontlines”.
Following their headlining performance at the iconic Red Rocks Venue in Colorado, Zeds Dead will be kicking off the Northern Lights Tour on September 29th. This massive worldwide tour has over 40 dates. With an entirely different stage show, this is a tour you will not want to miss. If the stage visuals are anything like what we see in the new “Blame” video, then we are in for quite the treat. For a list of all tour dates go to http://www.zedsdead.net/ .
The duo has a unique style that embodies much more than your typical “EDM”. It’s a sound all its own. But that’s something you’d have to expect from a group that borrowed their name from a quote from Pulp Fiction.
