NFL draft analysts Mel Kiper and Daniel Jeremiah have recently unveiled their post-free agency mock drafts for the upcoming 2024 NFL draft. Both analysts have the Pittsburgh Steelers focused on improving their offense in the first round.
Mel Kiper predicts that the Steelers will select Brian Thomas Jr., a talented wide receiver from LSU. Thomas Jr. would be a welcome addition to the Steelers’ receiving corps, especially after the team traded Diontae Johnson to the Carolina Panthers.
On the other hand, Daniel Jeremiah has the Steelers targeting Tyler Guyton, an offensive tackle from Oklahoma, with their first-round pick. Guyton would provide much-needed support for the Steelers’ offensive line, which has been a concern for the team in recent seasons.
With the departure of Johnson and the need to bolster the offensive line, it’s clear that the Steelers are prioritizing these positions in the draft. However, they still have needs to address at wide receiver, offensive tackle, and center before the start of the season.
Adding Thomas Jr. or Guyton to the roster would certainly help address some of these needs and give the Steelers a much-needed boost on offense. As the draft approaches, Steelers fans will be eagerly anticipating who the team will ultimately select to help improve their chances of success in the upcoming season. Stay tuned for more updates as the draft draws near.
