NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams are gearing up for their upcoming mission on the Boeing Starliner, as they recently completed a successful dress rehearsal at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Orlando, Florida.
The dress rehearsal included key activities such as suiting up in their space gear, working in a flight deck simulator, and practicing the operation of launch software. The astronauts also went through the countdown procedure with the Starliner spacecraft to ensure they are fully prepared for their upcoming flight.
The Crew Flight Test (CFT), which is the first Starliner mission to carry astronauts, has also passed its latest flight readiness review. The primary goal of this mission is to certify the Starliner spacecraft for future missions to the International Space Station (ISS).
The successful completion of the dress rehearsal and flight readiness review is a significant step forward for the CFT mission and represents a major milestone in NASA’s efforts to continue sending astronauts to the ISS. With the launch date quickly approaching, Wilmore and Williams are now one step closer to embarking on their journey to space aboard the Boeing Starliner.
Stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming CFT mission and NASA’s continued efforts to advance space exploration.
