Popular late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel is considering hosting the Oscars next year after comments from former President Donald Trump on his new social media platform, Truth Social.
Trump recently called Kimmel the “WORST HOST EVER” of the prestigious awards show, but Kimmel took the criticism in stride and even joked about it. Despite Trump’s harsh words, Kimmel has previously hosted the Oscars and has been approached to host again in 2025.
In addition to responding to Trump’s comments, Kimmel also took the opportunity to mock the former president for mistaking him for actor Al Pacino. He also poked fun at the recent controversy involving Will Smith’s physical altercation with comedian Chris Rock at the Oscars.
Addressing rumors that his wife had begged him not to read Trump’s post, Kimmel clarified that it was his own decision to do so and told Trump to “keep his wife’s name out of his mouth.” Despite the back-and-forth banter with Trump, Kimmel seems open to the idea of taking on the challenging role of hosting the Oscars once again.
Fans of the talk show host will have to wait and see if Kimmel ultimately decides to take on the prestigious hosting gig next year. Stay tuned for updates on Mix247edm as the story develops.
