Konami Clarifies Resolution and Framerate for Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1
Konami has addressed the recent confusion surrounding the resolution and framerate of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1. The highly anticipated collection, set to release on October 24, will target a resolution of 1080p and a framerate of 60fps for all platforms except for the Nintendo Switch.
On the Nintendo Switch, players can expect the collection to run at a resolution of 720p and a framerate of 30fps while in handheld mode. However, when docked, the collection will target a resolution of 1080p with a framerate of 30fps. Unfortunately, none of the platforms will support 4K resolution for this collection.
The confusion regarding the resolution and framerate arose from a hands-on preview session on the Nintendo Switch, where some players noticed instances of slowdown and lower framerates. Konami has clarified that the collection is a port of the original Metal Gear Solid HD Collection from 2012, which also includes additional bonus content.
Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 is set to release on various platforms, including PC, Switch, PS5, PS4, and Xbox Series X|S. Fans of the iconic franchise can look forward to revisiting the classic games and enjoying the enhanced graphics and gameplay brought by this collection.
