Apple’s next-generation iPhones, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus, are rumored to come with a significant upgrade in RAM. According to renowned technology analyst Jeff Pu, the upcoming iPhone models will boast 8GB of RAM, a considerable increase from the 6GB found in the current iPhone 15 lineup.
Pu recently shared his research findings with investment firm Haitong International Securities, asserting that all iPhone 16 models will be equipped with the enhanced RAM capacity. This upgrade is expected to greatly improve multitasking capabilities on these devices, allowing users to seamlessly switch between apps and perform resource-intensive tasks without experiencing any lag.
The iPhone 15 lineup currently includes the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus, both equipped with 6GB of RAM, while the more advanced iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max feature 8GB. Pu’s predictions for the iPhone 16 lineup indicate that all four models, namely the iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max, will boast the 8GB RAM capacity.
In addition to the RAM upgrade, Pu also expects the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus to feature support for Wi-Fi 6E. This technology enables faster wireless speeds and reduced signal interference when connected to compatible routers. Notably, the current iPhone 15 lineup only offers Wi-Fi 6E support in the Pro models, making this an exciting addition to the standard iPhone 16 models.
Apple enthusiasts and tech enthusiasts alike are eagerly anticipating the release of the iPhone 16 lineup. As per tradition, Apple is expected to unveil these new iPhone models in September. With the promised improvements in RAM and Wi-Fi capabilities, the iPhone 16 series is bound to impress users with its enhanced performance and connectivity options.
